XS is a start-up social enterprise located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The organization uses design concepts to create artistic consumer products from non-biodegradable waste. In the process, the organization removes trash from landfill, provides economic empowerment to trash pickers and previously unskilled laborers, supports the education of children, and informs consumers about the vicious cycles of overuse and poverty. XS innovated the concepts and processes behind transforming waste into consumer products, and has catalysed dozens of other organizations around the world that are now replicating these ideas. SALES EXECUTIVE
RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this position are to :
Primary responsibility is to increase the sales of XSProject products and to build the business. Initial focus will be on Indonesia. But, this role will also be involved in the development of international sales opportunities.,
Drive sales by building and managing relationships with supermarkets and chain stores, retail outlets, hotels, expat associations, and all other appropriate venues across Indonesia.,
Increase sales volume through alliances with wholesalers, regional reps, and other individuals or businesses that can spread XSProject products across the country,
Identify and participate in local bazaars to raise awareness of XSProject activities and sell XSProject products.
Provide Managing Director with a monthly activity report that includes sales secured, revenues generated, current hot opportunities, and outstanding issues, and
Create and regularly update a customer/client database.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires an individual with a strong combination of skills, experience, and business education. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, entrepreneurial self-starter who is willing to tackle problems head-on and views obstacles as a challenge to be embraced rather than avoided. Attention to detail is critical. Driven individual, able to work independently. Prior experience in a start-up enterprise, a management role at a consumer goods company.
In addition, the individual we are seeking for this position should be passionate about the mission and goals of XSProject. He/she must understand the concepts behind social enterprises, and be willing to work hard to help XSProject achieve the elusive triple-bottom line goals of financial, environmental, and social return. Since the successful candidate will be the representative of XSProject in Indonesia, they need to fully and passionately support XSProject’ culture, products, and vision.
